Locker Upgrade for Greiner Packaging, Dungannon

Toddsleap was appointed to supply and install a new locker system for Greiner Packaging’s staff facilities in Dungannon, replacing an ageing locker installation that no longer met operational needs.

The objective was to improve ventilation, visibility, security and day-to-day usability, while aligning the finish with Greiner Packaging’s corporate branding.

The solution

  • Two-door steel lockers

  • Mechanical combination locks (manual – no batteries or electronics)

  • Perforated doors to:

    • improve air circulation inside compartments

    • allow passive visibility for welfare and security management

  • Black and red finishes to match the client’s corporate colour scheme

  • Wall-mounted installation to allow full cleaning access beneath the lockers

  • Professional supply and installation by Toddsleap

Why this specification was selected

1. Elimination of key-management problems
The previous locker installation used traditional key-operated locks. This created regular operational issues when staff left the business or keys were lost.

Moving to manual combination locks removed:

  • key replacement costs

  • downtime waiting for spare keys

  • security risks caused by unreturned keys

2. Improved airflow and hygiene

Perforated locker doors were specified to:

  • promote natural ventilation within each compartment

  • reduce moisture and odour build-up from workwear

  • support a cleaner, more hygienic staff environment

3. Enhanced visibility and operational control

The perforated door design also provides controlled visual access to locker compartments, which supports:

  • site management requirements

  • welfare and housekeeping checks

  • general site security

4. Brand alignment

Black and red door finishes were selected to reflect Greiner Packaging’s corporate identity, ensuring the welfare facilities visually aligned with the wider site.

5. Improved cleaning and maintenance

The lockers were mounted off the floor to:

  • allow mechanical and manual cleaning underneath

  • remove dust and debris traps

  • improve overall hygiene standards in the changing area

Installation

Toddsleap carried out the full removal of the existing lockers and completed the professional installation of the new locker system, ensuring:

  • secure wall fixing

  • accurate alignment

  • consistent door spacing

  • safe access and clear floor zones for cleaning equipment

Result

The upgraded locker installation has delivered:

  • a modern, secure and low-maintenance locker solution

  • removal of ongoing key-loss issues

  • improved ventilation and hygiene

  • better visibility for site management

  • a clean, professional appearance aligned with the client’s brand

This project demonstrates how a correctly specified locker system can improve both staff facilities and operational efficiency with minimal disruption to site operations.
